Geoff Stilwell gave me an idea... FEATURE FRIDAY. So, we'll kick it off with Geoff's 7707 A/BFRMR. When you think about it, that class designation is a story in itself.

A - Engine size. A class engines are allowed 440.00 - 500.99 cubic inches.

(I believe 7707 has 496")

B - Blown - super/turbocharged

F - Fuel - anything other than gasoline.

(7707 runs a meth/nitro blend)

R - Rear Engine.

The motor sits behind the driver.

MR - Modified Roadster.

I'm not going to try to break this down officially. Basically, MR class is a special construction vehicle based on 1923-1938 American production roadsters.

To learn more about the exact specifications and class rules, safety requirements and of course, the records, I highly suggest heading over to the SCTA Southern California Timing Association site and dropping $10 on a copy of the rulebook
